Google trains for the Olympics

2/10/2006 04:50:00 PM

Here's a quick rundown of Olympics-related fun on Google (other than the usual daily doodle for the Google logo):

Videos from NBC Olympics, includes interviews, showcases, and replays of top performances and US athletes as the Games get underway

Virtual flyovers of Olympic sites in Torino using Google Earth and Local

Winter Games athletes, schedules, and results search

Most of these features are highlighted at the tops of relevant search pages in boxes that usually house ads. This marriage of sport and tech seems quite smart on Google's part. A huge props to NBC for agreeing to the partnership and providing all of the amazing content that is sure to come. Definitely looking forward to this!
